SFL

Description:
SFL Logo
Information:
The brand SFL raised up for the first time in 2007. It stands for Sascha Frank Lukas which is my pseudonym. Sascha ist my first forename, Frank my second and Lukas was my last name at time of birth. This lasted until my 7th birthday. Then my last name changed to Umbach and later on my 17th birthday to Vogt. So my real name is Sascha (Frank) Vogt and i already had designed a SV logo for myself in year 1999 which was redesigned for the CruiseControlCorporation T-shirt.

At my early ages all creative things i did were done for myself and on my own. With the foundation of RSV, CruiseControl and all their subsidiary companies this changed. From 2001/2002 onwards all creative things were published under the name of the appropriate company. As time went by my circle of friends changed and i focused my abilities on 3D and VFX more and more. In the beginning of 2007 the only one who was left was me. All companies were dead and buried and i was like the last man standing on their graves spilling the flowers. After a while of thinking i came to the conclusion that another company could not be founded. I came up with the idea of a brand under which all my future work would be published. This was a new beginning and with that the work of finding a name and designing a logo started once again.

Scribbling and thinking very soon brought me to the idea to use my own name for the new brand. I crawled the internet up and down and realized that Sascha Vogt wasn't a very unique name. Sascha Frank Vogt instead sounds not very nice i thought so i began combining my all in all three last names, my second name and my forename in all variations. In the end i liked Sascha Frank Lukas the most. In case of somebody would ask, how i came to this pseudonym, i thought it would be very cool to tell that this is not only my pseudonym but also my name at time of birth.

Everytime i invented and invent names or designed and design logos it is my aim to come up with an idea that is comprehensible and logical. Using Sascha Frank Lukas as my pseudonym suits this objective very well. After i found the name it was time to develop a new logo. I absolutely wanted to use the initials SFL and an easy recognizable mascot together with a harmonious color layout. At the end you can say that i have built up a whole corporate identity for the brand Sascha Frank Lukas with a color scheme, a logo and a little alien mascot.

At this place i want to thank the creative and competent designers of the two fonts i'm using for my SFL Logo and of course thank the inventors of the GNU General Public License.

The graffiti like SFL font should represent the freshness i want to achieve with my work. The alien mascot stands for the exotic notion of it all and should serve the recognition value. With all that the brand SFL was born and from that moment on everything i create and do was and will be published under it.
