Tori is a hybrid of a dragon and a penguin. He was developed for my application at UAC Darmstadt, Germany. I applied for Digital Media with focus on Animation & Game. Every applicant was sent a task to deal with. The task for them who applied for Animation & Game was to develop a figure that can is capable of being the main figure of a computer game or animation game. The topic was "Hot and Cold". The figure should either be presented in 10 different poses or in a short animation. I decided myself for the 10 poses.
I defined the target group for Tori, drew some scribbles, built and posed him. Tori should be the main figure for a short film series for chemistry lessons. The target group are pupils from 7th - 9th grade. Each short film should be about 10 minutes long and fully 3D animated.
After Tori was rendered with an appropriate alpha channel i put him in the layout, which i had created. Its style also represents the polarity of the topic "Hot and Cold" through the selected colors.
